Invisible Ink   Year: 2008 | Run Time: 5:16

Written by Bill Mallonee for CyBrenJoJosh (BMI)

yeah the cannons keep firing and the cold makes me shiver
grim process of dragging the river
for a truth you'll choke on followed by a sigh
the waters might as well be a thousand miles wide

and you drown baby and you sink
trying to break the code in invisible ink

emergency vehicles they're on the edge
radios crackle by the riverbed
where the dark waters flow to the sea again
and all of those places where the light can't get in

divers forever coming up at a loss
sure life's a free gift how do you pay the cost
you gotta scale it all down for the news report
and every good play is cut a little bit short

ain't looking like such a good outcome
you just weather the blows till your heart goes numb
you wait for the bell try to stay on your feet
try to stare it all down but you'll always blink

when all of those ghosts and all of our tears
all those spirits we touch as we walk through here
some stories get told but some of them don't
faith stretched to the breaking point

Appeared On…
