Nowhere To Be Found   Year: 2007 | Run Time: 4:46

Written by Bill Mallonee for CyBrenJoJosh (BMI)

everything i own and everything i am
well it's all more or less good and broken
and it's not like you didn't know and it's not like you didn't see
your heart said get but your feet wouldn't leave

and friends they can only be true
when they see what's deep down in you
and the ones i used to have
that used to sing my praise aloud
when i fell yeah when i fell
when i fell they were nowhere around

i have dreams of dying and i have dreams of shame
when i awake it's exactly the same
so i picked me a room where all my junk was stored
and i pushed play and then record

and friends they can only be true
when they see what's down inside of you
and the ones i used to have
who used to sing my praise aloud
when i fell yeah when i fell
when i fell they were nowhere to be found

if you listen close and if you listen right
if you listen with your heart you can hear the pale light

Did You Know?

Says Bill, "I wrote and recorded this after mid-night, after a sad and particularly trying day... I think it has a bit of Tom Waits ballad feel... it was raining out side and the sound of rain wash off the highway punctuates the whole take... nice!"

Appeared On…
